Kerb SPACE Inlet are an emerging Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) system that harvest stormwater runoff. Kerb SPACE Inlet systems are cost effective, sensitive to existing infrastructure and are a low maintenance option for councils to implement.
The infiltration system is an integral part of the Kerb SPACE Inlet systems. By directing the ‘first flush’ of stormwater into the soil, urban pollutants are locked up-in situ where are broken down by soil-borne organisms to become nutrients for trees and plant.
The SAEPA has approved SPACE as a filter medium in stormwater infiltration systems that receive runoff from streets via Kerb SPACE Inlet systems. It’s currently only available in South Australia.
Research shows that TRUEGRID® PRO PLUS™ is the engineer’s go-to commercial paver for 100% pervious cover, detention and stormwater management.
Space Down Under is a grass roots company that does everything possible to support and promote their products.
Kerb SPACE Inlet System have proven to be a very powerful mechanism in terms of delivering a better coexistence of trees within suburbia. The application serves as functional, non-intrusive and cost effective as it provides a life line to not only the trees, but also to the infrastructure that surrounds.
