Water Sensitive Solutions

Kerb SPACE Inlet® are an emerging Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) system that harvest stormwater runoff. Kerb SPACE® Inlet systems are cost effective, sensitive to existing infrastructure and are a low maintenance option for councils to implement.

The infiltration system is an integral part of the Kerb SPACE Inlet® systems. By directing the ‘first flush’ of stormwater into the soil, urban pollutants are locked up-in situ where are broken down by soil-borne organisms to become nutrients for trees and plant.

The SAEPA has approved SPACE as a filter medium in stormwater infiltration systems that receive runoff from streets via Kerb SPACE Inlet® systems. It’s currently only available in South Australia.
